Choose the size based on the level of detail in your logo and where you want to press the logo into the leather. A standard bank card measures approximately 86 × 54 mm. This makes it easy to see whether your logo will appear subtle, clearly visible or particularly large on the leather.

Yes, this is possible if you use something to regulate the temperature of the branding iron, like our voltage regulator for example. Special stamping foil allows you to apply a logo to leather in gold, silver, white or another colour.
Place the foil between the heated stamp and the leather, then press the stamp down briefly and evenly. The heat causes the foil to adhere only where the logo touches the leather. Always use foil that is suitable for leather and test the temperature and pressure on a scrap piece first.
Connect the stamp through a voltage regulator to control the temperature and allow it to heat up for 30 minutes. Start at around 150°C, with the voltage regulator knob in the 12 o’clock position. Test it on scrap leather first and adjust the temperature until the impression is perfect. Then press the stamp evenly onto your product for 1 to 3 seconds. It is better to start too cool than too hot, as this prevents the leather from burning or warping.
Yes, leather can be printed or engraved. A leather branding iron presses or burns the logo into the leather. It does not apply a layer of ink but creates a permanent mark in the material, making it the best option for most materials and repeated applications.

Almost every type of natural leather without a synthetic top layer is suitable, including cowhide, calfskin, buffalo leather, suede and nubuck. The best results are achieved on naturally tanned or naturally coloured leather, while lighter leather provides greater contrast. Faux leather, PU leather and vegan leather are not suitable because the synthetic top layer may melt or warp under heat.
The stamping itself usually takes only a few seconds. The branding iron must heat up first however. Depending on its size, this takes approximately 5 to 30 minutes.
A branded logo has very little effect on the water and scratch resistance of the leather, provided the impression is not burned in too deeply. Branding too deeply not only creates a less attractive impression but can also affect the properties of the leather. A clean, shallow impression remains the most attractive and durable.
